about us
Through their passionate, high-energy performances and clinics, Volta Trio strives to inspire, educate and entertain their audiences. Volta Trio performs regularly throughout Northeast USA, including appearances at Carnegie Hall, the 2011 MENC Eastern Division Conference, the 2010 New York City PAS Weekend of Percussion, and as soloists with the Eastman Wind Ensemble and the SUNY Fredonia Wind Ensemble.
Besides their formal concert season, the trio is committed to the future of the performing arts and fostering a love of music through educational programs. All three members of Volta Trio are dedicated music educators and had experience in both classroom and private teaching settings.
Volta Trio is also a strong advocate of new music. They have commissioned and premiered several works by both established and upcoming composers, including Michael Burritt, Andrew Thomas, Baljinder Sekhon, Andrew S. Allen, Jennifer Bellor, Alexandra T. Bryant, Marco Buongiorno Nardelli, Igor Santos and Edo Frenkel, in an attempt to broaden and enrich the percussion trio repertoire.
